You notice increased performance with Solas Concord impeller in 240EFI? + speed or + acceleration?

Where to buy it? Send to Europe?

My current impeller is a wreck:

I don't know.

There was a thread on them earlier this year... but we never really got a "Report" back on them. I was very interested in one myself, since at the beginning of the summer, there was a shop selling them for $250 shipped.

Hopefully one of the guys who bought them will chime in.

If the impeller is "wrecked", chances are your wear ring is damaged too. There is a good thread about wear ring repair as well.

Everything I have read about them has been promising. Soloas normally gives better out of the hole performance and Skat normally gives a slight over-all speed (as in top end but not out of the hole) performance.

I think the advantage to the Solas is, you get the out of the hole performance as well as gain a bit more top speed.

I have purchased one (Solas) and will put it on over winter or early spring depending on my schedule..

But... the Merc drive is a totally different animal. So... you can't compare them to the PWC counterparts. Not to mention... Skat-Trak doesn't make a Merc impeller.

More or less... the only aftermarket impellers are the Solas, and the high skew Merc.

To be honest, didn't look at the unit they owned. Was surfin the net, saw the question and answered,,,

I had thought that Skat made impellrs for Borh boats and skis. So either way I would have given poor info..,,

Actually... I did not think his impeller looked that bad... Especially considering looks like he has lost a tine in the grate ( if it got sucked up, I would expect that impeller to be "wrecked")

I would just get that cleaned up... and maybe a little JB weld in the ring area... and be good to go...

I just ordered the Solas impeller ... the problem is that until the summer I can not prove it.

Also I have to repair the wear ring. Do you think put stainless steel wear ring?
