Soaking Carbs

What is the best solution to soak entire carbs in without risk of damage? I am afraid carb cleaner may damage something. Does anyone know?

Assuming you have all of the o rings, gaskets, and filters out of the carbs, the cleaner won't hurt anything except it will take the paint off the outside. You'll need to repaint when its cleaned up and assembled.

Your wasting your time. Just disassemble the carbs and clean all the passages with spray carb cleaner and re-assemble it...DONE. It should take you about 1 hour per carb.
