My Islandia is a 2002 "older style" (round flywheel cover) 240. This is the motor that doesn't accept the SmartCraft monitor, correct?
Has anyone used the aftermarket scan tool "Techmate Pro" ( http://www.rinda.com/techmatepro/tmpro_res.html ) on this engine? Can it provide the same information (or more) that a SmartCraft Monitor can? Or is the ECM on this older style 240 limited on the information that can be sent to a scan tool? It wouldn't be too difficult to make up a mount for a semi permanent, but would probably have to hack up the cable that comes with it to make one long enough to reach the helm.
Any thoughts?

It has limited "Smartcraft" data.

If you get the Rinda unit... you need the mercury Outboard cables. I'm sure if you call Rinda, they will tell you everything you need for that engine.

I happen to have the rinda for sale that will fit your application if your interested. 3 weeks old, used once. No longer need it (at least until I need it again).

Is it the newer pro version? How much you looking to get?

Yes. New pro version ordered direct from rinda pre programmed for m2 240 efi motor. Has connection for that specific ecm. Hooked up and tested. Works fine. I'd do 450 for it. I'll attach original receipt. I don't see one on eBay that cheap and you can see my date of purchase.
