Small amount of fuel in the Intake manifold

I have a small amount of fuel in the Intake manifold. Could this be a leaky injector or leaky fuel rail? Or is this normal? I’m the guy on the forum who’s had the high idling surging issue. I’ve traced the problem to here. Could this be causing the over revving problem?

You engine has a different intake manifold than mine (mine is older)... but either way I'd say there shouldn't be any raw fuel in the intake. Sounds like a leaky injector... leaking out the fuel pressure after you turn off the engine. Could be a fuel rail or injector mounting o-ring... but I'd think less likely. If you have fuel puddling in your intake... at some point that is going to get drawn into the engine (higher revs?) and I could see it making the engine surge or stumble depending on how much fuel and how fast it was sucked into the engine.

Cheers!

I’m not exactly sure how an injector would leak, but could be. Could also be an O ring. Agreed. I figure, I could take it apart and look for evidence of what’s leaking. If the evidence is not good enough to point out a specific leaky spot, maybe I could clean everything perfect, put it back together, and run the engine. Then once again disassemble and see if I can find a fresh leak spot. I am also thinking of turning the engine over with the fuel rail connected but exposed. If I take off the throttle/intake manifold and then hold the fuel rail up I can watch them spray. This might point out a faulty spot as well. What do ya think?
