I have a 2007 Sea-Doo Speedster 150 (215HP SC) model. It still revs out (6850rpm) but only goes about 41mph.

I took the jet pump housing off and noticed some scrapes in the wear ring, which to me, look normal (ive seen much worse in my jet-ski owning days). The one thing i did notice was that the impeller seems to be bent. It would be the outside fins, all four, have a slight bend at each end. Are these ends supposed to have a slight bend in? Would that cause the drop from 60 to 40?

I edited the year btw. its a 2007 not 2008. No i did not suspect the supercharger with it only being a 2007. I have a reader and I was showing preasure on the intake at idle and when it revs. The only alarms i showed in the history was a misc. ECU ground and oil pressure but none had gone off during the last few rides.

If you are only hitting 6850, that is the problem, not the pump end of things. I would suspect the supercharger. How many hours on the boat? You can start with the basics. Try new spark plugs. Someone else a while back had the same problem and a new fuel filter solved it. Start with those 2 things and if it doesnt help, i would look into the supercharger.

What should i be looking at as far as the supercharger goes? What are some common things that go wrong with these superchargers?

We took the supercharger off, and didnt see anything out of the ordinary. I see the drive gear free floats on a needle bearing... how does this engage? how do i know if its engaging properly?

I just my 2007 Speedster SC rebuilt, at only 21hrs. Was only doing 6500rpms. I got the new washers and the 4" air intake

just ordered the SC rebuild kit for it... $322... not sure what all it comes with but once we tore apart the SC we found the oil seal took a crap and was blowing oil into the motor and did a little damage to the impeller as well. The washers were not ceramic, but do look worn and warped.

Did this end up fixing your issue? Was there any extra/other damage?
