Ski tow ring?

On the back of my 96 Challenger there is no ski tow ring there, just a metal loop. Is this normal for these boats? Now for skiing or kneeboarding I can use the pylon, but when I want to pull tubes I would like to hook them up at the back so I don't bend the pylon. Can I just remove the loop and install a tow ring? And are those universal, or will it need to be ordered from the dealer?

It's just a metal loop just like the ones on the transom under the swim step. This is not my boat but another Challenger of the same year. Maybe it's a challenger thing cause they have the pylon?

ok, but the pee hole is in the plate for the loop. You'll need to make accommodations for it.

Go to your local Ace Hardware or Tractor Supply and purchase a 1/2 " shackle. Shackle the loop to the rope. This way you can keep the loop and not relocate the pee hole.

I hadn't looked that close at it, didn't realize there was a pee hole there. I am thinking of just drilling a hole into the plate for the tow ring.
