Just wondering if this is a common situation with the Challenger 1800's... Where the boat sits deeper on the drivers side, even with nobody on board?
I understand that the drivers helm has a lot of extra weight, with gauges, control modules, steering cables, throttle mechanisms and the battery in the engine bay as well... But I can't imagine that Bombardier designed it to only float level without those items installed?
So, I have done my best to level the playing field... I swapped the tool/extinguisher compartment with the cooler/storage boxes... Moving the heavier tool box to the port side. I put all of the heavier items in rear storage boxes to the port side. I put the anchor on the port side, I have the engine oil tank filled to capacity (most of the time (it's on the port side).
Even still with all of these tactics, it still sits heavier on the drivers side... Any solutions... Or does it matter?
