I have a 2003 seadoo GTI with the 717 cc it has a 40 mm single carb nonajustable i want to put twin 38 mm carbs. how hard is it? and what is involved? would it be better to ge an older 40 mm single carb that is ajustable? this ski has a lot of bottom end and dose about 40mph-44mph, I have rode older GTI's and GTS'S with the same motor with an ajustable carb and they seem like there is more top end and a little faster

Shadee, make a small investment first. Start with, 167.5main jet, and 75pilot jet. Then on your adjusters', turn the hsa(high speed, one with the cap) to 1.5, and your lsa(looks like idle adjuster, has a "T" screw) to 1.0 turns out from bottom. Finally, either, bend the accellerator arm away from the plate it rolls on, or remove the arm entirely.

If the gains are acceptable, you saved 2-3 hundred buks.

Thanks, but there is no ajustment on this carb its a 4 star rated E.P.A. crap, there might be and idel ajuster where the throttle cable goes in but no high or low speed. I will look into rejetting
