The hardest part is getting it out. If you can cut out the wear ring without damaging the impeller or the outer shell, it is straightforward. It took me appx 1 hour to remove and replace wear ring. It is fairly deep (for cutting tools). Of course the assembly has to come off ski.

cool!!!...never did, dig idea of order'n impellor removal tool...:cheers:
 
for cutting wear ring by hand i used a long coarse sawzall blade for wood. gotta wrap the teeth in a rag where you are holding it. but since you have to cut at an angle to get between the impeller blades, i don't think this'll work very well. the impeller removal tool is 10 to 15 bucks. then i stuck a pipe wrench in a piece of pipe to hold impeller shaft.
 
way not remove the impeller?
I just resently change my wear ring. and cleand out the jetpump, changed Oil Seal and refill'd oil ass well when i first had it all off.
 
I had it out today.

I think I'm gonna call it a season. I don't think I'm going to Have any more 80 degree days in Columbus Ohio. I'm looking forward to getting My $400 e-bay special up to showroom condition. There's not much to do.
Buff the Hull
New Stickers
New Seat Cover
Rebuild the Pump
And I don't mind buying tools. I'm a Mechanic in a Food Factory.
