Shouldn’t my SeaDoo Speedster 150 , 215SCIC warn me if there is a low oil condition?
I took my boat out today and it started right up, ran / idled perfectly to the no wake marker, 1/4 mile then I punched it, it reached 7000 RPM and 50 MPH, at an Altitude of 5000 feet above sea level, but when I came off speed the engine was making a clicking which kinda reminded me of valve noise from an oil starved engine. I checked the oil and it was not even registering on the stick… I added a quart… No over pressure warning, no under pressure warning, and no beep of death or hobble mode… The engine seemed to have full power, I tested this one time… still achieved top speed, and still no beeps… But I still hear the clicking / ticking at low RPM, and the engine feels a little unbalanced as in possibly not firing on all cylinders at certain RPM…
Any ideas anyone??? Time for a new engine???
I noticed I have been getting black exhaust residue film around my jet pump nozzle and surrounding area as well, probably unrelated but I have noticed it lately, more so than usual…
