Hey guys, I'm doing a ton of maintenance to my Shorlandr dual PWC trailer and I pulled the bunks to re carpet them and found some of the brackets had rusted completely through, The 2x4s were also in terrible shape so I'm replacing those as well.

Here's my problem, I searched hard last night for these bunk brackets and it seems Shorlandr does not retail parts online so where do all us internet guys buy our Shorlandr parts? Seems crazy to me this company dosen't do business online.

google shorlander trailer parts and see what you get.

Try any trailer store...almost any bracket should work.

I suggest marine grade wood for your bunks as they last MUCH longer. Also, when you wrap them don't wrap the entire bottom.

This promotes wicking and both the wood and the carpet last much longer.

I'm witht the others, just google trailer parts Ns you will find a comparable bracket.

thumbs up :)

last time I had the same issue I just took the misc parts with me to the local trailer place and paid like $30 for new brackets, and moved on.... actually now that I think about it, i dragged my trailer with me just so I could make sure it was a good fit.

you can prolly get better prices online as long as your confident that your buying the right item. I felt like I was getting gouged for hardware at the shop but I wanted to get it back together asap.

I had searched that well prior to posting here but thanks anyways. Shorlandr don't sell parts online, Period.

As far as almost any bracket working that is not the case, even a bracket that is the same shape but stands up 2in taller will shorten the distance between the bunks making it so the 2x4s do not sit flush up against the hull at the angle their suppose to. Any aftermarket bracket used will have to be the same height as the original bracket or your ski will not sit right on the trailer. I just got done experiencing that.

Thanks man! I did use marine wood for the new bunks and I took your advice and did not wrap the entire bottom so water could drain out.

It makes a big difference not wrapping them all the way around. Not as easy to do, but worth it. Will add years to the woods life.

As you cruise down the road the water actually wicks from the cloth. Mostly due to the Venturi Effect, but better as the water wicks to the bottom and is gone,,,
