Cranked her over tonight with the new SBT block in and it turned and turned and turned, then bam! That familiar 2 stroke harmony breathed life back into the air... :D I do have one issue though, it revved up to the 3500RPM cutoff for neutral and I couldn't control it at all. I came to find out that the oil pump serves as the throttle cable return spring as well. Problem is, I bought the SBT oil pump block off kit and it doesn't account for this issue... Any idears from you fellas? BTW thank you sooooo much for all your help in my other thread, it goes to show you that SeaDoo owners are truly brothers in arms! Thanks again!

No, the throttle cable return spring is on the carburator levers,(butterfly's). Check that your carbs are returning to idle position first.(with the engine off)

They don't seem to be returning to idle by themselves... What could be the issue? Gummed up? Please help out guys! It's sooo close to going back to the water!

red....boat of mine, similar, not sticking bad, but does need a little help, so....went to Home Depot/ Ace...etc, and got dual-hook spring, something with tension, and use it, cut to length, and returns to idle, every time....

So my Dad got both carbs off 2 nights ago and only one is sticking. I bought 2 Mikuni SBN carb rebuild kits off of SBT and they should be here tomorrow. Getting the carbs rebuilt and then, hopefully, all this messing around will be over and I can finally get to boating! The damn summer is almost over too... Oh well, a little boating is better than no boating at all!
