I was wondering if anyone knows of an equal or better substitute synthetic oil that I can buy at a auto parts store, West Marine or other source that I can use instead of the Sea Doo Jet Pump Oil P/N 293 600 011?
Also what is the proper way to check the oil level in the cone? Cone facing up, cone facing down or cone in the horizontal position (normal position when pump is installed in Sea Doo)?

Your pump requires 2.2 oz as per the manual. I have both Seadoo pump oil and also Mobil 1 LS 75W-90. Oil should be checked while the ski/pump is parallel to the ground. As a part of winterization many owners change the oil every end of season as a part of winterization. Sorry for the delay in response, you have this posted in teh Sport boat section, please make your future threads in the 2 stroke PWC section and it usually will get answered fast (many of us hang there the most)
