separating a drive shaft

How do I separate the drive shaft on a 1998 GTS? Im trying to take the engine out to replace the tension spring for the oil pump mech. Dutch

You shoud be able to remove the oil pump from the engine without removing it.

were can I get a block off kit for the oil injector?

you can block the line( one w/ filter in), or ebay, blockoff kit 15buks..

that shaft can be a pain to pull. the stainless ring on the shaft has to go back about a half inch to expose a retaining ring that holds it in place. i just take the pump out so the shaft is loose, then pull motor forward off the shaft. how did the carb go?
