The float in my fuel gauge sinks when I drop it in gas, I am assuming that means I need to get a new one, correct?

The resistance checks out when I move the float up and down the tube manually.

How can i test the oil level alert? It has been ever since I have owned the sea doo. I have the unit out of the seadoo. Is there a resistance test I can perform?

Thanks!

Yes. Seems to be a known problem.

I'm not 100% sure on the oil... but it's just a switch. So, if you pull the sender out... it should go open, and with some oil... it will go closed.

Good luck

Update on the oil sending gauge... I have it pulled out. When it is sitting vertical like in the tank, the circuit is open. When I tilt the unit, going toward upside down, the circuit closes.

I put it into a containter of oil, and the circuit remains open.... seems like very similar problem to the fuel sending unit, just wont float....

What do you think, and are these expensive probably?

I see they are 85 bucks.... any body know how I could just fix the current one? Maybe clean it real well in solvent or am I wasting my time.

I did not let the sending unit sent in the buck of oil long enough, it takes about 30 seconds for the oil to float the switch, so looks like I just need a new fuel float.

Thanks.
