Is it worth parting out a working 99 challenger if it's running or selling. No way I will get what I have in it selling as a whole. Been trying to sell it and no one wants to give me a reasonable price on it. Ideas?

If it's complete, and running... you are better off selling it as a boat. Yes... you can sell some parts quick (engine, pump, MPEM) but the rest you will be sitting on for a while, and you may actually have to pay to dispose of the hull.

Boats are never an investment. And it's dang near impossible to even "break even" when selling.

Well I thought it was running them today it ran away. I know I won't break even but I would like to get some money as I'm done putting money in it. Every time I take it out it's a new problem. What would a 99 challenger be worth running with a few cosmetic issues

I can't see it... so that's up to you. Also, it's going to get priced based on moral issues. I won't look for a "Prime" price, if I know there are issues.

I just bought a 99 Sportster 1800 from north east Louisiana a couple of weeks ago, and had been shopping for a late 90's Seadoo boat in the region (east TX, LA, and into SW MS) for a few weeks, running boats started out around $3,200 asking for the smaller mid 90's single engine Challengers, Speedsters were priced from $3,600 with cosmetic / upholstry issue, Sportster 1800 were in the $4,000+ asking range with one not so great looking example priced at $6,000 (I paid $2,200 but one engine had issues), and the Cheapest Challenger 1800 I found was $4,200 most were in the $5,000 range, with one garage kept nice looking nearby with an asking price of $9,000 which I doubt they will ever get.

I'm gonna look for the air leak tomorrow and see if I can get it running right again and then not touch it again. Till it's sold. I don't want to part it out but just exploring options as I'm not a mechanic and rely heavily on self research and self taught. This site is the only reason I have made it this far. Thanks guys
