1997 Speedster with Twin 717s took it out after weeks of work, seemed to be running well. Then the motors started to not quite hit full RPMs. They stalled and I couldn't get them to crank. Changed plugs, still they would only barely idle, then they would die when throttled up. After trying to limp back to the ramp for 30 minutes or so at idle, they started spooling back up, i messed with the throttles till I got back on plane. Just before getting to the ramp starboard engine seized up. I took out the plugs, tried to cycle in, ( just in case it was hydro locked), still nothing, locked tight, cant turn it by hand. So now I figure I need to rebuild it, so here's the questions. 1) If you rebuild 1 motor would it be a good idea to just go ahead and do the other? 2) I have been reluctant to search for parts on the Forum, my antivirus throws up huge red flags saying the site(s) are infected, so what would be the best place one should look for parts? Thanks any help greatly appreciated.

If you plan on keeping the boat... and money isn't an issue... just do both engines. Every twin engine boat I've worked on... when one engine gives up... the other soon follows.

BUT... before assuming the engine is shot... pull the pump off... and see if it's locked up. Sometimes water will get into the bearings, and they seize up.
