Seeking Advice - Possible Stones Sucked up by Challenger 2000

I wanted to get some advise from some experts.

I have a Challenger 2000 and think I sucked up a couple of stones (not sure how big) just before I shut off the boat yesterday.

My question is should I turn it on again to see if they pass through the impellers or should I see if I can get someone to look at it first?

Any thoughts on this? Is it normal for stones to pass through the system without causing any major damage?

Any help would be appreciated...

Look from underneath through the grate as well as from the rear. If there is a good size rock stuck in the impeller you should be able to see it. If so, pry them out. Then take it for a ride. If it does not cavitate and or vibrate then no harm done. You may have grooved the wear ring depending on if the rocks spun around a few times. Cheap fix if so..

Thanks guys - so if nothing can be seen in the grates do you think that they have passed through and its safe to start her up? Would stones typically get stuck in the impellers?

Yep,,, that is not to say that the wear ring will not need replaced, but starting it will have no ill effect...

Only if you're in super shallow water, like running it while the bow is beached which you shouldn't do.
