Second battery setup, black wire with red stripe

Got around adding my second battery this week and ran into an odd blk/red wire with a 10 amp fuse hanging off the back of the master power cut off when I was changing it out with a dual switch. I would not think much of it but it was hanging off the battery lug and not the feed lug. The other three fused red wires hanging off the feed lug sends power to the fuse blocks under the helm. This black/red one has me plexed. On the Merc wire map black/red is the fuel pump relay that then heads into the computer. I can't thank of a reason why that relay would be hot all the time so I did not chase that down. On the 2000 Islandia wire map black/red is the bilge pump off the back of the toggle switch. Chased that down and all is normal there.

I might just move it and call it a day, but anyone know what that hot 10 amp wire dose?

I didn't have that on my islandia when I added the dual battery set up. Almost sounds like someone added something to it that is no longer in use.

I thought that too but this wire is wounded into the main loom. Maybe in-production fix at the factory. I'm going to run the wire down and post back findings.

After clean things up a bit better I found that the wire is brown and red and that it runs to the water proximity sensor. So it hanging on the batt post makes more sense.

I might move it anyway since my boat lives on a trailer 95% of the time.
