i recently purchaseD a 2001 Challenger 1800 and the problem I am having is when I hit hit rough water the cushions on the bow start flying all over. I can see where there is Velcro that needs to be replaces, but are there any brackets or clips to locate the cushions? If somebody could post pictures of the bottom side of their customs and/or a list of pieces my cushions may be missing that would help. The only thing other that the worn out Velcro that my cushions has is a pin in the center of the middle one.

On that boat.... as I recall.... only the front bow seat comes up. There should be a stud and latch. The 2 side seats are fixed. So... if they are coming up too... then someone has pulled them loose to get more storage.

I have the same problem. The "latch" on my center cushion does not "latch" and on one side the plastic anchors that hold the seat in place are worn and come out easily. I want to make changes to have all three cushions easily removeable but not budge in rough water. I was thinking of adding straps and snaps to hold them in place (not great looking thoug). Anyone have any other recommendations?

Thanks for the info Dr Honda. I think I am going to try attaching snaps directly to the bottom of the smaller cushions and to the hull without any straps. I am not sure it is possible, but I have to do something to keep them in place. My center cushion shoes not have a latch only a stud on the boat and a hole in the cushion. I haven't thought of anything for that one yet, but might do the same thing there as well. I am also open to any other suggestions from others. I am sure someone has solved this problem on their boat before.

A Little update to my problem. It was easily resolved for under $10 and about 30 minutes of my time by using screw in snaps. I was a little nervous on getting the snaps to line up correctly so I installed then male pieces on the boat first. Then I snapped the female pieces on them with some wet paint and pressed the cushion on to them. Since there is a hole on the female part that would normally be installed on canvass, it left a void so i could pre-drill a hole for the stainless steel screws i picked up. The only thing left is to take it to the water and try it our in some chop.

Nice, let us know how that works. I just live with mine flying onto the floor and thought about doing something to it soon.
