Seasons over for my XP800

Was out today on my 1995 XP 800 and it was running good, but then sounded like something was rattling loose. So I idled it home about 3/4 mile home, got it on the dock pulled the seat and everything seemed tight couldn't find anything loose. Started it and sounded like crap still. Pulled the plugs and rotated it by had and rotated ok for a few turns then it stopped and I found the below case pieces in the bilge. Can't believe it made it home!

That's what I'm thinking, due to my work schedule it might be awhile before I pull the engine.

Yep very surprised I made it back! Normally always go out with someone else just in case one needs a tow.
