SeaDoo XP Carbs & Hoses

I just traded for a 93 SeaDoo XP that supposedly has "bad" carbs due to deteriorated fuel lines? Is this usually just a carb cleaning/rebuild or will it require more?

I may have found a set of good carbs. Does the 1993 XP use the same carbs as the 1994 XP?

Do a search on Gray Fuel lines and you will find about a million threads on this topic. What ends up happening is the fuel lines start to produce a green slime that clogs the mesh filters in the carbs. Seadoosnipe has a good picture of what a bad fuel line looks like when dissected. You should replace all you fuel lines and rebuild the carbs.

Thanks, b15philly. I'm wet behind the ears concerning these things. I want to get it running so i can get really wet behind the ears. I may have found a set of good carbs that were already rebuilt and have new hoses. Does the 1993 XP use the same carbs as the 1994 XP?
