Seadoo Utopia steering Stiff

Hi I have a 2003 Seadoo Utopia 205 and noticed that recently my steering is getting a bit stiff. It is still usable but wondering if any one has had to lubricate the steering system. If so did you focus on steering mechanism under the dash or the cable that goes to the nozzle??

Any tips or links would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend lubricating both ends of that cable. Also check for kinks or bends.

Start with the nozzle. Does it move freely?

The cable itself. It's 17 yeara old. If the rubber bellows at the nozzle have not been maintained, there is water and corrosion inside the cable. It is a generic heavy control cable..

Steering box. It too is 17 years old. Solidified greaase and worn parts.

Best to isolate the bad parts instead of throwing boat-loads of money at it.
