Well, finally after 4yrs, numerous calls and many trips to a horrible dealer,Seadoo has agreed my boat is junk !!!!!!!!!

2006 sportster with 3.5 hrs after 4yrs.Cracked from stem to stern.broken Wake tower (at welds) pure junk!!!!!

What i have learned.if you really are honest and really dedicated to what`s right then here is what you need to do.

first thing is to go to (your selling dealer) as you will be treated poorly if you don`t.second thing is to be ready for your hair to fall out.... but i now know what it takes to be righted.DO IT YOURSELF !!!!! if your boat is junk and i mean junk then make a call to seadoo and start the prosess.what you will need is a pad,pen and time.once you make the call write down the complaint #,then ask for your rep that will handle your problem,.i.e. name and ext # of the rep in the tech dept.once you do recieve a call, be calm, cool and don`t ever yell, because you need to do everything you can not to go thru the phone an choke someone.get all information before you make your call. take your boat to an independent repair shop.make sure you deal with a shop that has really good rating.get a hand writing detailed report on your boat.also give your tech his or her shop # and person who inspected the boat, this will go along way to help.keep in contact with your seadoo rep call at least once a week fo updates and be prepared to explain all of issues from the time it started.if you do this you will have a pos outcome.but remember this, they use a BUDS sysyem to check your operations from the time it was started,DON`T LIE or it`s over.......Oh i forgot the best thing, new boat on it`s way !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, glad it all worked out in the end. Did they give any explanation as to why it happened? Also what boat are they sending you?

Took four years????????? BRP cant be serious! Why would it take them more than a week to determine that their product was defective????

Well for the price of a replacement boat there is a lot of fiberglass that can be fixed, but it seems they wanted to be certain about the lamianted layers delaminating that would have ended up costing more to repair than replace - at some point we all do the same thing trying to fix a plastic part, this may open a can of worms but I imagine they found someone with a perfect hull and a faulty motor and married your stuff into that hull, add some extra stuff and you are whole again for your purchase of a boat.

I thought 2 months was a nighmare.........4 years??????????

I think the key here is the dealer. BRP franchises the PWC and sport boats separately, so in order to perform maintanence on the sport boats they have to sell at least 1 boat a year. Some dealers reduce the price of the boat to sell it quickly and make very little money on the sale which gives them little incentive to followup on problems.

My experience in dealing with BRP warranty issues was a very good one, but I am convinced the reason is that my dealer was very engaged and pushed them to resolve the problem quickly.

Boat replaced !!!

Folk`s here is what they sent me.2010 150 speedster, they cut my old boat in half.also they installed the new modified wake tower, all is good and, reimberst us for 3yrs non use.will pick it up this week.

Sounds like they made it right. Sure, it was a long process, but you ended up with a newer boat, a better boat and reimbursement on top of that.
