I live in Florida and have my SPX sitting right now covered. Do you have to do any thing to the motor or can I just let it sit? The motor is a brand new rebuild with only 1 hour break in time on it. I removed the battery and stored that in the garage, but have no room for ski.

Make sure to fog the engine.
It comes in a can which you spray into hole of airbox cover until engine starts to stall.
Then remove plugs and spray some down cylinders.

it freezes in springhill, im not sure exactly how cold it will freeze your cylinders, but, water freezes 32, lol, some northern people will chime in, i keep in garage so i do nothing, im here in brandon, a guy i know in brooksville, plugs in an old electric blanket and wraps engine, puts seat back on, but, if u lose power ??? i would just winterize it, but, u will probably ride this winter, i rode last weekend

Yup def fog it...if you only have a day or two at 32 you can use the old school winterizer...lol a trouble light with a 100 watt bulb. It will keep it warm enough to not freeze, and if your cylinder drain is nice and clear it should self drain anyways.

What about putting some marvey mistery oil in the spark plug holes?

Only 1 hr and your putting it away!!!!!? I would want to ride it till its at least broken in. Then again I live in Canada and we ski around the icebergs. lol
