nope...it will be fine. make sure you disconnect the battery any time you are playing with electronics. pretty easy to blow up those mpems.

Can anybody tell me how to test the computer for a Sea-Doo speedster 787 Jet boat
Also has anybody got a photo with the computer back removed to see inside the computer

You have enough corrosion on those pins to stop the MPEM from communicating. Gotta get all that cleaned up on the pins and connectors. Then try it and see what happens.
Be careful NOT to open up the connectors when cleaning. You can take the plug apart if needed.

Yes I throught they were corroded to I have sprayed Contact cleaner on both, what is another way to clean the male connectors on the computer.

what specifically is the problem that you are wanting to test the mpem?
To check it is functioning correctly before replacing. I am not getting The two beeps when applying the Dess to the post.
What I have tested,
-The post when tested with a multimeter I got 0.04 Ohms .
-Checked all fuses
-Still to run through all earth connections
-As I have mentioned I have removed the computer and now trying to clean all of terminals
-Strangely enough I got two beeps yesterday and both engines started but when tested again there were no beeps then I seem to get one beep.
I am really hoping I don’t have to replace the computer as one you can’t buy these brand-new any more and getting a secondhand one is like a lucky draw I believe.

keep in mind, beeper could be the issue there as well. i have had intermittent beeper gremlins. A new beeper (pretty cheap) might be a good place to start along with cleaning the contacts.

Thanks for that but I don’t think we have that in New Zealand in saying that we don’t seem to have a lot on NZ everything seems to be in the US
