My 2004 SeaDoo speedster seems to have some starter issues.
This past weekend I dropped it in the water and put on the DESS lanyard and got the correct beeps, went to start the port side engine and nothing. Starboard fired up just fine. I pulled the lanyard and did it again three or four times, still nothing on the port side. I opened up the engine compartment to see if there was any clicking coming when I pushed the port starter, and there was. On the 5th try, the engine fired up, pulled the lanyard, and it started again on the next try again.
Is this the sign of the starter motor going bad? Or is it a spark plug problem?
I am curious to know as it wouldnt start at all the first few times and then it seemed like it was fine. Any suggestions???
