Went out camping this weekend and took my 95 Seadoo Speedster. Saturday it ran out fine and we had a blast. Today we took it out and it was great for the first couple hours then went to the beach and proceded to head out and all was fine until I seemed to loose power both engines wouldn't go over 5k. Also after this I shut it off to check things out and went to start it and it started it forward gear when it should only start in neutral. After loading back on the trailer I fired it up and it was acting the same. Once I got home I proceded to flush it and it ran perfectly normal and now only starts in neutral like it should. I'm stumped. What would cause this to happen. I don't want to risk this happening again a few miles from shore with my 3 yr old son.

hey bri....dont blame ya, have daughter as well,....pull the F.N.R. levers out, unbolt, and check to see if switch may be get'n stuck/corroded...

When it started in forward, were you able to rev past 3-3500rpm...?if stuck, then yah, would act if in neutral, thus not rev no more than 3500

Seems like I was toping out around 5 k but I could be wrong. I pulled off the handle and cleaned and luber everything so I guess It's ok. I'm still confused how it happened. Also I forgot to say I had he beeper for the boat occasionly making noise but it came and went. This all was happening at the same time. I did check both engines and they were nice and cool and in no way running hot. Both idled just fine I just was not able to get any speed.

If buzzer is goin bad, you can replace those at RADIO SHACK for 15buks. could be fuel related, check the filter, selector valve, even pull carbs, still early in the week...
