Seadoo replacement fuel pump help

Hi I have just replace a new fuel pump for my 2001 GTX DI the pump is a HFP-342 as far as I know this is a direct replacement, when I tried to install I found the pump is two short to fit on the plate at the bottom of my canister also it came with two new filters and the longer of the two appear to fit to the bottom of the pump, and the other appears to fit the canister plate however if I put the larger filter on I cannot attach the pump to the bottom plate, has anyone purchased the same pump to give me tips to install, it came with about 100mm of fuel hose.
