Seadoo paint question...

I have scratches and nicks on my seadoo and was wondering how I should go about touching the paint up. From what I'm reading, I should use gel coat paint, but I can't find any place online to order my exact Seadoo color. For nicks that are deeper and go to the fiber glass, is there a special way to repair this? Also, I'd rather fill in the scratches instead of sanding the entire seadoo if possible...

Thanks,

Jeremy

hi. gel coat paint is not really paint. it is fiberglass resin with pigment in it. try the seadoo dealer for the exact color. deep scratches, fill them with the gel coat itself. if you can tip the ski so the deep scratch is level, it would fill much easier. otherwise it will run down the hull. if you can't get the right color, get a quart of imron or whatever they are selling for polyurethane automotive paint these days, get the stickers off it and paint the whole ski something really interesting.
