Seadoo Mechanics

there aren't any Seadoo Certified Techs around here (G'ville area).. It seems they are few and far between. I've read of ppl traveling over an hour and a half to get some work done. Whats it take to get this certification. I'm a car guy and have always worked on my own vehicles,, my boat wont be any different.
I'm not to old for a carreer change...lol
I imagine a marine mechanic certification and then what??
I think I'll look into it........
