I am selling an OEM Seadoo in dash digital depth sounder. I ordered this new off ebay and tried to install it on my 2005 Challenger 180, and it wont work. The mechanic told me we could wire it in to work but that its not made for my boat. This depth sounder is in-hull mount. So if anyone is interested please contact me. I am trying to figure out exactly what jet boat it goes on. Its very nice and Im not happy that it wont work in my boat!!

I'll give you $20 for it.

Since this is your first any only post... there isn't enough trust to offer more.

Yeah that is the same shop I bought it from, but when I purchased it like 2 months ago it was $215, they had 2. I bought one and they just dropped the price to sell the last one. I am willing to take a hit on it, I am just upset that they told me it would work on my boat before I bought it and now they wont return it. Actually I stole their pic to post it on here today.

I will probably put it on ebay again right next to his for $100. I just wish I knew exactly what it fit. My dealer told me it fit a 2006 and newer, but the box looks much more dated than that.

OK... fair enough.

So... if you want it in your boat... what's keeping you from mounting it up, and making it work???

All the parts are there. Glue the sender in your hull, cut a hole for the gauge, and put some power to it.

The dealer that I took it to said that I could probably figure out a way to make it work but, he said is it worth taking a chance on screwing up a $1500 computer in your boat? Apparently there are 3 wires and my friend couldnt figure it out, and if the dealer wont do it....I dont know where else to turn? It has instructions but not for my particular boat.....I guess I could try taking it to another dealer????

From what I am seeing on the web for this product it does not look like it is specific to any one jet boat. It looks to me to be pretty universal. How did the dealer say it would 'mess up the computer'. All you really need to do is supply power to this thing. Why would it involve your boats computer?? Maybe I am missing something.

Apparently you would use 1 wire to ground, 1 wire for power (hook to fuel gauage) and then there is a yellow wire, not sure if its to light it or what? I dont know why the dealer said it either.....I think my friend got scared because I didnt have a wire schematic for my boat and he didnt want to screw it up. I cant find one online to get any info. only on ebay. I will try and look at it again. I would think it would work too. I dont understand the diffence between that and other depth finders that only have 2 wires (ground and power)???
