Seadoo history lesson please?

I'm new to PWC and have a 97 SPX. Can someone point me in the direction or help me understand what the differences between the various models of this era are---ie. SP, GSI, GSX, HX, ??? Are some more sporty than others, faster, more bells/whistles, etc. I've heard the SPX is like the little hot rod of the group but I can't find anything that talks about it. Are these modele like the difference between a work truck, silverado and denali??

Way to many skis to go over, but they are divided into 3 or 4 different classes.

The sport, recreation and muscle crafts.......sport is for one person but will haul two, if light enough, the recreation is usually the bigger three seaters, that will tow a tuber and the muscle craftts........well, self explanatory, I think:cheers:
