Just got a Seadoo gts with a Rotax 720 engine. I know the oil wars and
cant seem to find anyone that really has a straight answer yes or no, on say
QuickSilver oil in a 720 Rotax engine. At walmart they had the following.

1.)"QuickSilver Premium" at 21.00 for TW3 rated I know this will not work.
2.)"QuickSilver PWC 2 cycle" at 23.00 per gal. that says its a API-TC for Seadoo, Yamaha Etc. Will this work Yes!!! or No!!!! in a Rotax 720 engine
3.)"QuickSilver Synth" at 28.00 per gal. Question I thought I saw on a seadoo
post that the Rotax needed some Ash content to the oil. Or are the Synth oils so good that ash content is not a issue.

thanks allot for your time and help gray

Oils.........

Gray, your right, the oil issues have been done to the point, if we put them in the oven again, they will be burnt!..........

Your questions about Quicksilver oil have been threaded and posted at least 10 times. Without being rude, I"m really getting tired of this question, only because this information is all over the place in here.

I use the Quick Silver "full synthetic" oil in my Seadoo Challenger. Only because the previous owner used full synthetic. I made a complete change out because he used the Bombardier brand. I don't live close enough to a Seadoo distributer, so I looked for another source. In my research, I found the Quick Silver oil has the same properities required by Seadoo (that is why you see Seadoo on the back of the label. Do you think Seadoo would let a Mercury product put their name on a bottle of oil if it didn't meet their requirements........no, lawsuit waiting to happen) and is a low ash, non NMMA and non TCW oil. The idea in your statement about the "ash content" isn't really relevant. What the requirements state is to use a "low ash" type oil. These oils are low ash.

Your only problem is, what kind of oil are you using. Mineral, synth blend or full synth?.........when you find that out, then you'll know what kind of oil to purchase.

I've used Quick Silver for 2 seasons now. For those who have had a problem with this oil, I would ask if they read the plugs regularly and checked the syncro on their oil pump to carbs settings...........
