seadoo gti 1999 no top speed?

hi just a quick question really, i have a 1999 gti when in and out of water engine runs perfect when i pull on throttle starts to pick up speed no problem. when i get to about 15-20 mph the ski goes no faster no matter how hard i pull the throttle. when i am pulling throttle i can hear the impeller spining faster and faster like it wants to go but cant is thta cavitation? and would that be done to a worn wear ring?

go in the aft of the ski and inspect your wear ring and impeller, also check and see if you can hold the driveshaft still and spin the prop, (caution do this only with the engine off) and see if the driveshaft or impeller are slipping.
