Has anyone done this before? Any dos/donts? My uncle gave me the idea when he registered a floater as a boat so he could work around some restrictions on dock size etc. I have a similar situation where I cant legally extend my dock with my already purchased seadoo floating dock. Im thinking of turning it into a homeade boat, seems in va, I just need to register it as a boat and list the parts I used and the receipts...and then come up with some sort of easy hookup so I can prove its not permanently docked...
