i have a single motor 110horse seadoo challenger and i need to replace the impeller and wear ring and in doing so would like the best impeller for tubing and wakeboarding but without losing to much on top end...any ideas???

Skat-Trak swirl. Probably about a 14.5/22.5... but use what they recommend in that line of impeller.

they call for 14.5/22.5 for stock motor which is what i have but not sure what they mean by limited motor? any known sites where i can get pricing and any known sites for used ones?

A limited engine is bolt on stuff. So... high compression head, larger carbs, etc. We will call it a add of 5% HP. Tuned pipes use to fall under that catigory... but Factory Pipe has pulled 20% increases out of some engines... and I would start to put that into the "Mod" section.

Be careful with used impellers. I'm not saying to stay away from them... but pay a price that you won't get upset at, if you have to send it out for reconditioning.

thank you man...i just dont know pricing at all. what should i be paying for a new one and can i do mods to get better horse out of them? i asked a guy at a marina a few years back and he said not with out creating more problems than its worth? id like to get about 150horse out of it but how much would that cost to gain an extra 40hp?

you wont get an extra 40hp out of it....

also i priced a company called nu-jet for their destroyer impeller and was listed at 177.95...is this a fair price?

i got solas concord impellers for around 200... so yeah thats what you'd be paying minimum.

skat trak swirl is about 220 or so

i should add... i've never seen a single post of someone running a nu-jet on their seadoo. i would stick to Solas Concord or Skat Trak Swirl

they seem to be the most commonly used on the boards

whats the best prop to get me out of water fastest with out losing top speed for just riding also? is there a noticable difference frm the skat trak or solas to the stock seadoo impeller? stock seadoo impeller is 275 anyway

i have a great condition seadoo OEM that i'd sell for WAY less than 275... but i dunno if it would fit your boat (i have 97 challenger 1800)

but they say skat trak works best for acceleration but loses a MPH or two off the top end.. thats why i went with concord... seems to be a good all around solution

i see somone posted 14.5/22.5, is that not what they call for stock? i am looking for something better out of the hole without losing much on the top end... i heard i can drop to like 13 without losing much top end is this true? anybody have any advice? has anyone tried smaller impellers?
