So i did a quick search but not a lot has come up for my particular boat. I have a 2012 Challenger SE with twin 215's i was looking to remove the resonators. I know that a lot of people do it to the PWC's with the same motor and i love the sound. My boat is just to quiet and I'm bored with the sound. I just had a couple questions about it, will it have any negative effect on my engine's? Will i have to worry about getting water ingested into the engines, being as the mufflers are still there i wouldn't think so? Also in my search's i found on this form that someone with a 230 did remove their resonators and had a great sound. I was also wondering about removing the intake silencers and installing a K@N air filter. I know the 230's have this standard. I'm not really sure why the 210 doesn't. I have noticed that printed directly on the cover of the intake silencers, it states that if they are removed and the engine is ran it could cause damage. Not sure if this is just a scare tactic from SeaDoo or what? I just find it weird that the 230's have a filter and they are the same motor. Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

if you love a good engine sound, then yeah remove. however up grade your stereo system. i have a straight though exhaust and some sound deadening foam on the inside of the engine lid, just to take the the top end of the noise off.
air filters, i have done no problems. search around the forum, i just used pvc storm water pipe sprayed black with reducer down to the rubber pipe, clamp a pod filter on.......done!!

Awesome! That is good news. What did you use to sound deadened if you don't mind me asking. Also do you know why the challenger uses air intake silencers instead of filters like the 230? Are you using a paper cone filter or a oil style? Thanks again for all the help and the great info!

egg foam, you can get the foil layer foam as well for heat. just the paper cone filter, who knows why they used the silencers, but its a good debating point.........
