hey guys, i have just purchased the seadoo anti-rattle kit from seadoo source and does anybody know what else i need to have on hand so that i am not stuck out of commssion once i get it apart. here is a link to the kit

Keep us posted as to how your's works out. Most last about 3 weeks and the rattle is back when the spring wears out.

I thought it was the best thing since the invention of watercraft...till it stopped working..Yours looks different than mine so seriously keep me posted..for my 1997 Challenger. I hate it when friends say is that thing broke or something?

My rattle went away...

...when I disassembled everything to swap the wear ring. It now runs nice and quiet.

Not sure if re-torquing everything to "like-new" specs fixed it, or what

I was going to put this kit in, but had already spent all my "allowance" on all the parts I needed to replace when I had the shaft and wear ring out.

for those of you who have had this area of your ski apart, can you look at the kit and tell me what other parts i need to reassemble. the kit says, i will get almost everything needed to repair, so i was wondering what else is needed.

Looks like it is all there. Just recycle your screws and plug.

alignment?

That slight rattle noise you hear when the ski is out of the water is normal in the Seadoo watercraft. You are wasting your money on this. I have it too, it doesn't really work.
What it seems to me, because I have noticed some rattle more than others, is the alignment of the drive shaft to the pump impeller and it's shaft. The pump to drive line has an allowable tolerance. What I've noticed is the closer you are to perfect in shimming the pump end for a perfect, str8 thru alignment, the less rattle you'll hear!..........good luck

Skatman...nice hat...I think we busted Myssticghost bubble...But we can't lie to you and say it's the best thing since sliced bread...it's not.
We only give our input from what we know...so hopefully you'll prove us wrong.
