I just got another mint condition 96 xp800 and I need to do an oil block off kit on it. I got everything I need. Hasn’t ran since 97. I’m curious since there is no other vids of the oil block off what I should do step by step. Any other tips before I attempt to fire it up?

Ive got a challenger 1800 with 2 of these motors. 3 lines come from the oil tank, the line to the lower crankcases comes out the bottom of the tank and has a return line to the top of the tank. The third line feeds the oil pump. You want the valve in the feed line to the lower crank which comes out of the bottom of my tank. Hope this helps.

Why are you removing the oil injection? There are no reliability issues on these as long as you replace the small oil lines from the pump to the intake manifold.
And if you do bypass the oil injection you still have to keep an oil supply to the rotary gear.

I have another 96 xp800 that me and my dad recently got back running. There is no oil tank bc he removed it a while ago. Those 2 lines connecting to the lower crankcase are connected and I cannot see oil in them.

Then you have much bigger problems as your rotary gear is not lubricated.

You have to constantly supply oil to it, could be the stock tank which is the easiest or loop the lines above the engine and keep them filled.
