Seadoo 3D leans right

Hey all.

I bought a speedster (boat) last summer, and I had so much fun that last month I bought a Seadoo 3D pwc. I couldn't wait to get it in the water and last weekend I got out on the lake (cold.....).

The machine runs strong and seems like a lot of fun. However, it leans to the right too much. A lot. Like it will tip over (it did with my friend on board). At idle, you need to put all of your weight on the left side. Going fast it evens out a little bit, but still leans right. I've ridden on many skis before, but this one is way too tippy. I was afraid to do right hand turns at speed (water was cold....)

I did some research online, and found a thread on seadooforum.com, but the question never got answered: http://www.seadooforum.com/showthread.php?p=10796

I can't figure out why it leans so much, but I would like to get it sorted out before the weather gets nicer and I will want to ride it every weekend. All help is appreciated!

........Help!....

I looked around the internet a little and it seems like this is a problem several 3D owners have had. No one really gave a reply that answered the question though.

My first thought would be centrifugal force. Like a gyro. If you've ever had a Dewalt grinder in your hand, turn it on, then try to rotate the grinder with your wrist, it feels like someone is holding your hand from turning.

But, the Rotax engines spin counter clockwise, which means, if it were caused by the engine, it would lean left.

Maybe it's in the nozzle. Adjustment??? Stator vanes (they counter the spin of water from the impeller, to the opposite direction).........

I really am just guessing here because I haven't heard of this issue before. Really, we don't get many 3D riders in the forum...........

Nozzle?.......

I don't it's in the nozzle. I did some reading today on it. Found several people on 3D over the internet that had this same problem but I could not find one sentence on what it's caused by.

If it were in the nozzle, you should be able to tell by compensating for it with your steering. So, I don't think that's it. From everything I read about it, it just seems to me it's going to be in the topic around centrifugal force. But why? If this was the case, you'd think the R&D engineers would have caught this by now. So, I'm up in the air on this one......

Leaning

If it's not leaning one way or the other when it's in the water and nobody on it then it has to be something your doing when your on it. Sounds like your gonna have to learn how to ride a normally unstable ski.
DAWG

when driving strait are the handle bars strait as well? with it on the trailer make sure the handle bars are strait then look at the nozzle and see if it look strait aswell

I own a 3D and don't have any stability issues... sitting down... moto... or stand up... So I know that isn't normal. Is there a lot of water in the ski maybe? I'd call bombardier!
