Sea Doo vs. Sugar Sand

A friend of mine is looking at a Sugar Sand 16 footer (jet boat). I was not familiar with these at all.

How do these rate typically against a similar sized Sea Doo? Build qulaity performance etc. I did hear they may have gone out of business. Decent boat, or something to shy away from?

It has a Merc 2 stroke with jet drive system.

Do you know of a confident repair shop for sugar sand, merc 2 stokes in that boat and parts availabilty is the question?
