Sea-Doo sportster wont start

2005 sportster but it wont start. when i put in the key i do not hear any beeps. when i push the start button i hear like a fan sounfd coming from the engin for about 5 seconds. any ideas where i should start looking. Thanks

First thing is to check the battery, the no beep could be from a few things, some as simple as a dead battery, to a bad speaker, to computer issues...
The fan noise may be from the blower for the engine compartment, sounds like it was left on, do you know when the last time it was ran?
Turn off the switch for the blower, check/charge up/replace the battery, if needed, and give her another turn. Hope that solves your problem.

blower works fine put in a good battery, up front in front of steering there is more fuses there i found one that is blown, 3 amp. unit has not been ran for a year any help would be great going to get a fuse. also found another 3a fuse in engin compartment above batt in its own holder. replaced both of them still no beeps or start

when i turn on the blower it works and is loud the sound i hear sounds very quiet from in the engin kind of weird and when i push the start you can hear it come on for about 5 seconds

locate the relay, its toward the front, on left hand side...where the 2-red cables go to. Get/have a voltmeter, and have someone hit the start button, while your volt'n the post on the relay.

If you are talking about the relay in the engin compartment under the fuse pannel there is 12v going to one side and 0 to the other

It looks like the start solenoid, I unplugged the connector on the bottom and checked that there is no voltage there even when i push the start button, but when i put a screwdriver across the 2 big posts the engin does turn over. i think it has something to do with the ignition switch?

Help please

Been working on this all night checking all fuses and cables. no beeps when i put in lanyard, new batt this morning, when lanyard in gages go on then down, press the start button and think it is fuel oump runs for 5 sec then stops but nothing else, all lights work, when i jump 2 terminals on solenoid motor turns over strong but wont start any sugestions. Thanks

check your spark plug coil packs are they plugged in properly.. the boat is in neutral.. you dont leave the lanyard plugged in all the time after 10 min. it has to be reset. maybe the computer is faulty you have had the boat running before.the fuel pump is starting you can hear it , are you getting fuel pressure.. anyhow good luck

If battery is good.
You need to check the dess post and the key
If they aren't working nothing will work.
Except the fuel pump running for a couple seconds because it's tied to the start button.
