IT just bips and that's it.

Unfortunately I dont remember 100% the error code i saw but I believe it was P0351.

Any help will be really appreciated. I bought this to my daughter she ran once it stoped I went to a shop they charged me over $500 and now just 4 months later (looks like the same issue) they said its not on warranty and they will charge me again so if I can figure out the problem that would be perfect!

Thank you!!
Robson

You're getting two beeps...DESS system is saying OK to start. The series of 4 beeps after that just means you left the DESS key on the post and did not start. Its a reminder. Nothing in response to the start button being pushed. Do I have this right?

First thing I'd look at is the solenoid. If it is original, know that up till about 2008 the OEM solenoids had a problem. They've been redesigned and I think the new ones are brown now, but not really sure about that. Anyhow...you can check by jumping the solenoid to see if it starts and runs. If successful, then replace the solenoid. Online they are cheap. Dealer charges about 45 bucks.

If you don't already know, the solenoid is the black object with red cap in your second picture...mounted to the side of the fuse box.

Also note: The solenoid can be intermittent. I had a 2007 that would start. Then go to middle of lake and shut down machine for a minute and it would not start. Drag it back to shore and it would start again. Drive back to middle of lack, shut her down, swim a bit...would not start again. Drag it back to shore...rinse and repeat. Never had an issue after replacing the solenoid.

yes looks like you are right it's 2 beeps and then 4 beeps.

How do i bypass the solenoid?

thank you so much for looking into this!!

Did you have the DESS Key on the post when you jumped the solenoid? If so, it should have started.

Basic engine diag first. Engine needs three things to run. Fuel. Air. Spark.

Pull the plugs and turn the engine over to see if each plug is generating spark. Do this by grounding the base of the plug to the engine block while the tip is plugged in...crank the engine. Don't hold the plug with your hand or you'll get a nice jolt of energy through your body.

If you have spark, put the plugs back in.

Check to see if fuel is getting to the system. You can pull the fuel line and check for fuel pressure by putting the end of the fuel line in a clean bottle and see if it flows. If so, it's getting to the fuel rail...that's a good sign. Put the fuel line back on and pull injector. Crank engine to see if injector has fuel spray. If so...good to go on fuel...put injectors back in.

That leaves air flow. Clean your air filter. Check for mouse nest in the ducts and clean as necessary.

Once we narrow it down to one of the three needs, then we can troubleshoot that more in-depth.

Thanks for your help. So after further inspection I noticed the battery was reporting only 11.7V (After a few hours after I started the process) so I thought I just consumed right? Just to charge it fast I took it to Advanced Auto Parts for Test/REcharge and after 4h they said battery was bad. Bought a new one tried just regular start it did not work but bypassing the solenoid started the Jet! Wowowow! So I order a new one that should be here tomorrow and I will replace and post the progress here!

thank you so much it was really helpful.

New update and new error.

So replaced the solenoid and battery and still doesnt start.

Bypassed the solenoid again and noticed an error message on display now P0351.

Saw this manual online but really dont know how to execute the test. Anyone knows? Maybe an youtube video?

Thanks
