Is it salt-water proof? Anyone know where I can get one? My local dealers don't have it, and when i look it up on ebay, I get screw-type hose clamps.

What is the correct name for it so I can find it on ebay?

Figured I would go this route so I can use it on the intake and exhaust freshwater hose, if needed...

The crimper that Seadoo makes to pinch off the freshwater intake hose when I am flushing the engine. I have been using vice grips, but they rust solid after about 5 uses.

I was wondering if the Seadoo crimper was rustproof. It would be worth it for me to find a rustproof crimper for flushing the engine, and I could use it on the intake hose for towing (if I ever need to be towed...)

I have a inquire into a company now, to keep one on my Speedster. I'll keep you posted on the cost and availability.

Plastic Clamps

What about a phenolic clamp? West Marine has them as well as others I am sure.

can you post a west marine part number so I can find it on their website?

I have a west within 20 minutes of here, on the way to the beach. That would be PERFECT if it works.

Here is what I am finding...might work, if small enough.

It seems a bit bulky trying to store it and get around the hoses...Keep us posted. I'll keep you up on the other one I am looking for.

Also, I am not sure if this will crimp down hard enough to collapse the hose. I have already bought 4 other types of non-metal clamps and all of them are failing at fully collapsing the heater hose...

I see the correct ones on e-bay...for like $6.50. it's the shipping I don't like...like $10.00

Ahhh...

Had to look it up as "hose pincher", not clamp.

It appears to be plastic with a plated screw. Wonder if it will hold up in salt water.

I am going to question the seller.

I have a local EX seadoo vendor that has some. I'm going to his house this weekend. He has like 20 of them ...$5.00 each...If it is the correct one, they're all mine.

I Will Take One...

...Maybe even TWO!!!

I will cover shipping and even toss in a couple bucks for you effort, driving around, etc.

I don't need anything...send me a blank check...than I'll be happy...uh just sign the bottom, I don't want it that blank.

Blank check?

I would rather just give you my credit card number. Multiple uses, and all that...:reddevil:
