Sea Doo GTX 98 Cutting out at full throttle!

Hi guys,

We have a 98 sea doo gtx Carborated 787 motor. 150 hours on it.
This year it seems that its running ruf! It won't go full throttle for more than 2 seconds. Then it cuts out and bounces around 4-5 thousand RPM even though your giving it full throttle. The wierd thing to me is that it is very responsive and runs relatively smooth when under 4500 RPM. It's geting really annoying! Any help here? Please point me int he right direction.

We have changed plugs... no help
cleaned air filter.. no help
run good gas with carb cleaner.. no help

The only thing is that my uncle changed a fuel filter once. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. Maybe he has messed up the fuel pressure? Is that possible? If so how do i repressurize it?

what color are the fuel lines?

color of lines are clear... full of fuel... don't see any air caps.....

Scratch that, think the rectifier is built into the mpem..

Try running it on reserve to see if your fuel selector may be gummed up.
