Here is a newbie question for ya. How do you get the mildew crap off a cover without ruining the cover? I realize that this cover is old and will never look new again but it is just covered in mildew type crap. Thanks for any input.

Spray with bleach white ..rince off...spray more, let it sit for a few..in the shade...and scrub with a nice brush with soap and water..rince..

Use some good truck wash. It's better than car wash. It'll wash a shadow off the ground and won't fade stuff

I will try the truck wash and see what happens. The bleach idea is a good one but like doc said bleach is hard on fabric and may take the color out of it. I will post the results. Thanks!

Vinegar will kill mold and it is safe and non toxic. I am not sure how much to use. I would spray it on and let it soak for a while. Then maybe try washing it in a large commercial washer at a laundromat.

I know this is an old post, but I have used this on my Jeep and it works well for the soft top material which is just like the factory cover too. Do a search for Bestop Cleaner and you can find it all over the net.

Best Solution.....I bought my ski in 2006 after it was sitting under a tree for 2 years. The inside fabric of the cover was just covered in black moldy stuff. I went to ACO and bought OxiOut algae and mold remover. Blue container 32 oz for $11 made by Oxibrands in Detroit. 1-800-442-7258 www.theo2system.com I put the cover in the washer with this stuff and let it soak 2-3 hrs then washed it. Sparkling clean.

I also use it on my canvas awning outside & boat cover. It's in the deck stain section at ACO.....NOT IN THE HOUSEHOLD CLEANERS SECTION.
