Sea-Doo Challenger 180 Garmin Striker 4 install inboard

I have a Sea-Doo Challenger 180 and want to install a depth finder. What is the cheapest and easiest way to do this? I bought a Garmin striker 4, but want to install the transducer in the engine bay, not outside in the water. Can this be done while still getting accurate readings or do I need to buy something else?

Garmin makes a transducer for in hull mounting. Their tech support will tell you which one to get. You won't be able to read temperature
