I would like to replace the Blige Pump in my 2008 Sea-Doo Challenger 180. What pump do you recommend? Is there a certain model I have to use or will any work?

I use a Rule 25SA auto sensing. No float, runs every few minutes and if doesn’t sense water via motor current increase it shuts down. I have left my boat on the dock for a 3 weeks and my battery never wore down. When I store it on trailer I do unplug the connector.

So the pump above requires a 4 amp fuze. The existing is 3a. Manuel says not to switch out fuzes with higher ones. What did you do?

Also, the existing pump has a float switch. Anyone have a wiring diagram to bypass the float considering the Rule automatic pump not not have a float?

I replaced my bilge pump two summers ago...I have a 2008 230 Wake. I would recommend removing the one you have and taking it to a reputable store or marina and ask them to recommend a comparable replacement. Your present pump should be wired to power in two ways...one is to the switch on your console but the other is directly to an uninterrupted power connection so if your boat is in the water unattended, even with a the battery switch turned off, the float switch will detect water intrusion and engage the pump. I would not recommend using a pump without a float switch. My pump snapped into a base that was riveted to a mounting block in the bilge compartment. Unless you can find the exact same pump, you'll need to remove the old base and install a new one. Short stubby screws work so as not to penetrate beyond the mounting block. You should be able to see if there is a mounting block that was glassed into the hull...it will have a distinct shape.

I just replaced the factory Rule (since they don't make that one anymore) with an Albins. My concern was I didn't want a autosensing bilge pump, the Albins has a float, and the current stay under the factory 3A, and the Albins 500 is well within that limit and the same volume as the original. Like NESNFRED stated, the mounting holes are the same as the Rule, so you either used short/stubby screws, or glue the strained to the hull.
