Sea Doo boat seat and carpet snaps

Anyone know how I should unsnap stuck snaps on the carpet and seats and how to lubricate them to prevent them from getting stuck again?

I expect they could be pried off with a thin bladed screw driver.

That's the tool I use and had to replace a few stainless steel snaps that were broken. Amazon sells the snaps and the special punch to install them.
